# Special Accessibility Team Meeting Agenda: January 19, 2024

This is the proposed agenda for the weekly AccessibilityAccessibility Accessibility(
commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services,
or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures
both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility
with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). (https://

## I. Accessibility Vision for WordPress

We’re planning a Special Meeting to discuss the accessibility vision for WordPress
and changing the bug scrub. We’d love your input so please plan to attend and share
with other contributors.

## II. Changing the Bug Scrub

The team is looking to conduct the weekly Bug Scrub at a different time to increase
the involvement of contributors who may not be able to join at its current day and
time (Fridays 15:00 UTC).

 * GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress.
   The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making
   writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than

 * Media
 * MetaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us,
   this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central
   and Make WordPress.
