Accessibility Team Meeting Notes: July 9, 2021

These are the weekly notes for the AccessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). Decide on how to best track accessibility tickets on MetaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. TRACTrac Trac is the place where contributors create issues for bugs or feature requests much like GitHub.https://core.trac.wordpress.org/.

Right now, there is no good way to track accessibility tickets on Meta TRAC. @joedolson offered to follow-up with the Meta team to find out if adding Focus to Meta TRAC would be a viable option.

We are working on a Pattern library and currently moving content over from our working Google doc to Make. If anyone wants to work on a Pattern, please let me know.

The team is currently working on the themes directory.
