I tried to make a mix of multiple teams discussion, a11yAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). Gutenberg issues that absolutely need to be addressed before the merge proposal are labeled Merge Proposal: Accessibility and High Priority.

Overall, check the issues, starting with the old ones, if they still apply to the lastes version of Gutenberg. Maybe some issues are solved automatically by the changed codebase.

Screen reader issues:
