  • #26601: Inappropriate content in headings on admin screens: Has a working patch, we discussed the option of adding a <headerHeader The header of your site is typically the first thing people will experience. The masthead or header art located across the top of your page is part of the look and feel of your website. It can influence a visitor’s opinion about your content and you/ your organization’s brand. It may also look different on different screen sizes.> or a <div class=“header”>. @trishasalas will comment on that ticket further.

  • #27705: Keyboard navigation should be constrained to the theme installer overlay. We discussed if this ticket could be closed and decided it was still relevant. @joedolson will comment to this ticket to explain why.
  • #29897:  Some focus styles are broken: This ticket was split in separate tickets that all have been fixed, so this ticket can be closed.
  • #30333: Media filtering behavior should be the same in list and grid mode displays. This solution was reverted back, to not using the auto submit, ticket will be set to closed/wontfix.
  • #30368: Issue with categoryCategory The 'category' taxonomy lets you group posts / content together that share a common bond. Categories are pre-defined and broad ranging. selection using VoiceOver. @rianrietveld will let the test team look at this, if they can’t reproduce this, the ticket will be closed.
  •  #32600 wp.a11y.speak improvement: @afrecia wrote a patch so testing and feedback is more than welcome.

  • @davidakennedy is working on video’s for the a11yAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). ( training for reviewers.
  • @joedolson has been working on extending the Pattern Library on GitHub

New work

  • Better Password: @markjaquith created a patch (#32589) for a new password changing UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing.. We will have to do an a11y review on that.
  • Menu CustomizerCustomizer Tool built into WordPress core that hooks into most modern themes. You can use it to preview and modify many of your site’s appearance settings.: the test team reviewed the menu customizer and the issues where reported to the dev team.
