Plugins update, February 5, 2014

This last week we elected Boone Gorges to step up as the Plugins team repTeam Rep A Team Rep is a person who represents the Make WordPress team to the rest of the project, make sure issues are raised and addressed as needed, and coordinates cross-team efforts.. Over the next week I will be working with him to get him up to speed so you should see updates from him starting next week.

Earlier today Mika posted a nice summary of how the takeover of abandoned plugins is handled: https://make.wordpress.org/plugins/2014/02/06/clarification-on-taking-over-plugins/

Mika is out of town for the week and I’m holding down the review queue. We are a bit overloaded at the moment but they should be mostly cleared out by the end of the week.

Plugins update, October 24, 2013

I’ve been traveling the last couple of weeks and have missed a couple of updates, sorry about that.

Mika and I have managed to clear out the plugins queue completely (as of last night) of all plugins awaiting their first review. Plugins still in the queue include those submitted today (33 of them) and those waiting on a response from the developer.
