Polyglots update

Things are very quiet over at Polyglots and requests for new languages have not been very frequent over the last couple of months. There are some things, however, worth noting going on though:

  • 6 Rosetta requests have been deployedDeploy Launching code from a local development environment to the production web server, so that it's available to visitors.
  • Translators have been prepared for Language Packs and how WordPress 3.7 will start to change the Translation Landscape.
  • During the WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Europe Contributor’s day lots of small things related to the international sites and forums were discussed and some were even fixed on the spot
  • Marko Heijnen lead the first GlotPress meeting during WordCamp Europe and they came up with the following: A lot of validators and translators were present and they discussed the future roadmap for GlotPress. They came up with a list that has been posted on the GlotPress blog. The idea is to solve most of the issue this year. There is a dependency on necessary  UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing. changes that can make it a bit tricky  to handle issues properly. Help from a more UI minded contributor is going to be needed.
