Let’s talk about tagging posts here on the UI P2.
I like the idea of a macro level “Design” or “Dev” tag, but also a sub-topic tag attached to P2 posts that have work in progress, like “UX”, “Concept”, “Mockup”, “Polish” on the design side. We’d keep these up to date, so anyone could click a link and see all “UX” tasks currently being worked on. When an item moves on to dev, we’d simply change the main tag from “Design” to “Dev” remove the sub-topic tag.
Thoughts?

I like the idea of tracking and gathering activity via some standardized tags – we do this internally at 10up, too, along with some additional code and plugins like Unresolved Posts, mentions widget, and scribu’s taxonomy drill down widget. Not that I think that we should be installing plugins rampantly on Make at large, though. Just our version of a P2 workflow.
There’s also probably something like a “Planning” macro tag for things like meeting summaries, etc. I think we should just make a decision and make it happen
Also maybe see if we can put a quick ref list or something underneath the tag entry on the front-end poster (I think we can survive without in the admin if we’re in there). I guess we could also put a text widget in the sidebar for help but meh.

I like the idea of a generally accepted tags list, maybe it could be included on the currently existing but unused http://make.wordpress.org/ui/about/ page (not too in your face, still easily accessible).
