WordPress.tv Moderator Update: Week 7

As weeks go, this has been a big one. Why? Because we’re considering opening WordPress.tv to the public, so anyone can upload and contribute their videos from WordPress meetups, screencasting tutorials, vodcasts, etc.

Considering that ATM we only publish WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. videos (and other announcements) this is a big change, for us as moderators, and for the WordPress community as a whole.  It’s exciting, kind of scary, and could change the face of WordPress.tv forever!  You know, no pressure.  🙂

Here’s a look back, and a look ahead

Last Week:

  • Got our new moderators oriented and up to speed.
  • Several improvements to our process documentation. (ongoing)
  • A big discussion on IRC about that thing I just mentioned. [Log]

Next Week:

What do you think about making WordPress.tv available to more than just WordCamps? Questions? Concerns? Suggestions?  Please let us know in the comments below, or join us next week for office hours on IRC and be a part of the conversation.
