We approve and publish all videos on WordPress.tv as well as help WordCamps with video post-production and captioning and subtitling of published videos.

We use this P2P2 “P2” is the name of the theme the blogs of make.wordpress.org use. When asked to post or view something “on the p2” by a member of the WPTV team, that usually means you’re asked to check https://make.wordpress.org/tv. to post our progress, status reports, and occasional geeky video debates. Use the “Subscribe to Blog via Email” widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user. to follow along!

Subtitles/captions — You can help us extend the reach of of WordPress.tv by adding captions or subtitles to any published video. Just find your favorite video, and follow the steps here to create a caption/translation file and submit for review.

Weekly meetings

We use Slack for real-time communication. As contributors live all over the world, there are discussions happening at all hours of the day. We have weekly team meetings every Thursday at 17:00 UTC, and they are open to the public!

I am extremely sorry for that.
Actually I had reviewed that one already and that was completely same to the one by Tony Perez at LV 2012 (link) even the slides are same with background change and some shuffle, I was going to post it here along with other reviews then I saw you too were editing that and the only way I could discover at the moment to pass that was DO NOT PUBLISH.

  No worries. You don’t have to be sorry. 🙂 I was just wondering why you set it to DO NOT PUBLISH. Anyway, I think its okay if the slides/presentations are same from previous year. We can add the most current one and (if same) remove the older one. Lets see what other mods have to say.

    The LV one have been added on Jan 16 2013 and the camp was in Oct 2012. Besides slides actually the content too is sam (They both work at Sucuri) and Tony’s one is 46 min compared to 56 in Dre’s. Probably we should check both for the quality and keep one which is superior.
    By the way Phoenix videos are awesome are you reviewing any now?

    Ok. I am trying to review one a day.. If you are reviewing, one trick would be to make the post Draft so another person will not review it. Maybe I will start doing the same.

    When someone else is on a post, shouldn’t it say that someone else is “editing” the file? At least that’s what happens in my WP self-hosts sites.

    I’ve posted on the issue of duplicates on the front page of this site, if you want to add your thoughts there.
    
    My feeling is that for now we publish duplicates, at least until we figure out what we want to do. Once we can set some kind of policy, maybe a “gardening sprint” to go though the site and remove duplicates, if that is what gets decided.

@maharzan – We need some kind of system for managing things, no doubt about it. I’d love your thoughts on how we stay organized now that we have new moderators who are looking at content, but not publishing it.

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that, because this is a public blog, we should avoid mentioning names of speakers and organizers, at least while we’re still talking about videos that have yet to be published. Do your best to try and say things like “that security video from phoenix 2012” or something similar.

We’re not discussing national secrets here, but I think it’s a bit awkward if someone gets a Google Alert and sees us here talking about them. Thanks!
