Thank you for the hard work! Strings are deployed in batches of approximately 200 strings, rather than on ongoing basis. Once you have 200 new/updated strings, they will be deployed.” -

The Polish translation contains a pl_PL.php file, which comprises a function that does month name declension. It seems such .php files aren’t used on WordPress.com, which seems reasonable from a security standpoint, but it results in month names being improperly displayed on Polish WordPress.com blogs. Is it possible to implement a system that would allow such functions after, e.g., reviewal from a WordPress.com staffer? P.S.: A “com” tag would be nice.

It looks good. I’d only change the
preg_replace()call tostr_replace(). In this case of no special patterns in the regular expression they are equivalent.

Can you guys make a project for WordPress.com? The simple reason is that on my Dutch WordPress.com account some parts are in English.
Note: I have an exam of English tomorrow so translating form English to Dutch is a good exercice

I can’t find the option to select burmese in wp.com. Do I need to translate 100% to include in the language list ? But It doesn’t seem like that, others languages such as Assamese , Armenian are not 100% translated.
Over 16,000 strings in wp.com pot files. It hard to complete working on my own. Others validators are not working on wp translation projects. Now I’m one and only maintainer for Burmese WordPress projects.
If it is possible, add burmese on wp.com languages dropdown list on profile page and general settings page.-

Oh sure.
IMO, there are only 2 written Chinese language variants. They are:
- Chinese (Simplified) – commonly used in China mainland and Singapore.
- Chinese (Traditional) – used in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The current classification WordPress is using is “by region.” And consequently, now WordPress has Chinese (China), Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Singapore), and Chinese (Taiwan).
I think merging would be a nice idea since it can save lots of translation work. I have the following proposal:
- Merge Singapore Chinese with China Chinese and rename the new one into Chinese (Simplified);
- Merge Hong Kong Chinese with Taiwan Chinese and rename it into Chinese (Taiwan).
But this could bring lots of domain name changes.
