GlotPress Trac Core i18n Tickets
Couldn’t find the resolution to this previous thread about TwentyTen theme still being included in 3.5.x.
The theme files still exist under 3.5 branch:

For consistency with en package, we’d like to exclude TwentyTen from Japanese package. Is there such an option?
I noticed today that upgrading TwentyTen and TwentyEleven to their 1.3 version make said themes loose their translations if they previously had some. Any idea who to talk to about this and / or where. Perhaps you know @nacin ?
Yeah, it’s a flaw I’ve experienced too. Also with earlier upgrades of the default themes.
Yeah, we hosed you on this one. In 3.4 this will absolutely be handled.
Is it an option to add the current available locales to a 1.3.1 version?
I see some strings for theme descriptions in twentyte pot and twentyeleven pot. I translated these strings but they don’t appear on my wp 3.2 beta testing sites. How can I make it appears ?

If the strings were approved, you can use a tool like localize to update the .mo files on your blog. If not, you will have to wait until someone validates the strings, and again use Localize or download manually the files.
I’m validator of my_MM project. I mean not on glotpress. I mean I’m testing my translation package for 3.2 on localhost .
When I go to Appearence menu, descriptions of twentyten and twentyeleven are only in english although I translated the strings for descriptions of those themes in my_MM.po file and my_MM.mo.
Hmm, might be a bug in 3.2 or twentyeleven, try to update to latest nightly. If it persists, report on wp-testers or trac/irc.

Galician translation – There’s a translation for an old version v2.7.
I’ve translated the Twenty Ten theme to Galician and I’m also translating the v3.0.1.
Is there a way to get this translation uploaded in SVN?

You should get in touch with the validator for Galician, he can import it to GlotPress and add it to SVN.

I have translated a few strings in GlottPress last August, they are still awaiting validation.
(and also a bit in Twenty ten project)
May be Glott Press isn’t necessary?
I’m not familiar with PHP. I know only some HTML, enough to understand the strings in Glott Press.
And I don’t know anything about import or export files.
I could collaborate just at same level I’m doing in WP.com project.
Development (future 3.1) for Galician is active, both translation and validation.

There were not validations since 2010-02-19. There was just an upload to “future 3.1″ on that day.
No more.
And a lot of waiting strings in “future 3.1″ are incorrect. But seems is wasting time to fix it or to suggest new translations to Galician in WP.org.

As of 3.5, language files for the default themes are included in wp-content/languages, and are loaded. This solves the issue of updates from the theme directory overwriting language files.
Even though it is inconsistent, I intended for Twenty Ten to be left in the international builds for 3.5, so those language files could be propagated to the many sites out there that could benefit from them. In 3.6, Twenty Ten can then be removed from the international builds, probably with Twenty Eleven also, as Twenty Thirteen will be out and core will be sticking to two bundled themes.
