Is there a feed or something like that…

Is there a feed or something like that from GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org., that i.e. can be listet in a widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user. or something on the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ sites?

Or maybe just a function with some daily og weekly statistics on how many stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. that’s left and how many that have been approved since last. Or something like that.

GlotPress project for bbPress? I am not seeing a bbPress project here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects although it seems like it would be logical (nice, convenient) to have one. What do you think – pros/cons?

We talked earlier about updating the xx.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ sites to a more current WordPress version and a new theme. We were told that we needed to wait ’till 3.1 dropped and this is me checking in again 🙂

Anynews on this?

I have a request for a feature that was bugging me for long time.
Is it possible to add the awesome grunion contact form to our localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ websites?
The problem is that if we have an internal mailing list that we want to use for support emails, current contact form is useless (and we do have an internal mailing list that we use to coordinate sprints).

Thanks a lot.

All right, I’ve posted some suggestions for improving the “mentions” functionality of the p2 theme to make this promising feature more useable: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mentions?replies=1#post-1625903

Peter, for the time being, I suggest moving this blog to wppolyglots.wordpress.comWordPress.com An online implementation of WordPress code that lets you immediately access a new WordPress environment to publish your content. WordPress.com is a private company owned by Automattic that hosts the largest multisite in the world. This is arguably the best place to start blogging if you have never touched WordPress before. https://wordpress.com/ (I can always request an automatic redirect from systems, if need be).

I’ll check with Ryan and Jane what the plans arre regarding the integration of this blog into the overall .org structure, but for now, we can solve it like this.

All good?

UPDATE: Done. Thanks, Peter.

Oh boy… Just noticed that this P2p2 "p2" is the name of the theme that blogs at make.wordpress.org use (and o2 is the accompanying plugin). When asked to post something "on the p2" by a member of the Polyglots team, that usually means you're asked to post on the team blog https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/. lists “Polygots” everywhere…

Suggestions for posting policy

What to post – Status update, Blog Post, Quote or Link?

  • For short questions, updates and stuff – use “Status Update”
  • For instructions, informational posts (like this one), use “Blog Post”
  • “Quotes” are quotes. Haven’t found a use for this one yet…
  • “Links” are for really cool stuff on the web that can help our community

Remember to tag posts! If the update is about something specific to a localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/, tag it with that locale (ie “nb_NO”)
