Noticed closing <ul> is missing from the local site front page showcase.
Could you add that tag?
Thanks!

Hello there.
Time to ask for Christmas presents
In WordPress.org you can have the latest version using http://wordpress.org/download/latest.zip. It’s great for automatization in servers, plugins, linking and other stuff. Can we have the same for localized versions? ex. http://es.wordpress.org/download/latest.zip
Thank you!
Didn’t know about the existence of this
Not sure if this helps, but it’s safer to use Localize if the only reason you need localized builds is to test or update the translation:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/localize/
Hi!
We’ve already finished translating wordpress, can you create kk.wordpress.org?
I’d like to start translating in Armenian my .org user name is Ashot2oo1
nobody wants me to do translation?
Nonono, we all do
Armenian is setup at http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp and you are the validator. Working on SVN permissions now.
Thanks a bunch Zé
You now also have commit permissions on http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/hy
Are you going to need a hy.wordpress.org?
Would be nice to have it and use it instead of our forums!
any update on this?
http://hy.wordpress.org is up, you are the admin. Sorry for the delay.
Hi, I would also like to contribute, but ashot I would be translating into Western Armenian rather than Eastern. How can this be accomodated??
Looks like we might have a problem, as there are no distinct ISO codes for Eastern and Western Armenian:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Armenian#Distinguishing_the_two_forms_of_Armenian
Zé sorry for asking the question here – while translating i notice there are many instances where we have to translate singular and plural – how do we set this so translation understands the singular and plural. I can’t seem to find how to do this!
thanks in advance
Example? As far as I can tell the plural form for hy is correct in GlotPress (note: it’s best to start a new thread for new questions)
Thank you very much Ze for all the support.
Arthur, thanks for your interest in translating the page – please contact me directly so we may discuss some of the ways in translating together. you can go to hy.wordpress.org, I am setting up a forum in there and we can discuss all issues and concerns in there!
Thanks
Ashot
Dear Ashot, please provide the right section for my input – http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/3.1.x/hy/default or http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/hy/default.
meaning should I start with 3.1 or future 3.2. Thx
Dear earmenians, we are currently working on 3.1!
Dear Ashot, thx a lot.
I will work as armrss (my wp.org username)
Hi,
our local users asked if there is a possibility to provide a permalink to the latest release in the local wp.org sites.
Like the wordpress.org/latest.zip link does?
sry…
Now, that was neat trick. I’ve been wanting that kind of link for our danish site but didn’t think it was possible.
http://da.wordpress.org/latest-da_DK.zip
Works like a charm and I would suppose it always links to the latest version. Is that some kind of built in function in the locale sites, that I’ve missed?
Yep. I believe it was first mentioned here:
http://lists.automattic.com/pipermail/wp-polyglots/2008-February/001893.html
Sorry for asking, I tried latest.zip, but not latest-${locale}.zip
Amazing. The best coders is WordPress coders.
