Hello everyone,
is there a team working on italian translation for bbpress?
I am working on a couple of projects including forums and started to translate it for my own use, then I decided to do things as they should be done and headed to GlotPress, but I see that it_IT translation is only at 30% and there are many suggested translations and a lot of untranslated.
I would like to help, but it seems that there is no one validating.

You can simply add users with the ‘validator’ role on the dashboard of it.wordpress.org. Let me know if that works, as it has misbehaved before.

Actually the plugin is under control of wordpress italy team and I’m the validator for wordpress translations… You can submit all the translation u did and i will check them and approve it if they are ok. Isuggest you to follow the “rules” we used for the translation of wordpress (impersonal, italian and not english phrases structure ecc.

How happens that at http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/3.1.x/ italian translation shows -3 untralsated strings? Something wrong in string counts?

I’m currently working on the italian translation for the android project, I wanted to know if there’s some italian forum where I can talk about it and also if there’s some italian validator for this project so that I can see if I’m working good… Let me know

The validators for Android in Italian are http://www.studio404.it and http://www.40annibuttati.it
There’s no specific forum for Android translations, but you can find the generic one here: http://android.forums.wordpress.org/

I’m a member of it.wordpress.org, Microsoft italy asked us to create the italian IIS version and we made it.
There is a way to put the italian IIS version on wordpress.org or we continue to keep it on our website?

You could try the /dev branch as it is at 82% http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/bbpress/dev/it/default
It looks like @steveagl validated some of the waiting translations based on this conversation.
You should be able to get in contact with the Italian translation team via http://it.wordpress.org/contact/

I just translated a bunch of new strings for /dev. Hope someone will validate them, so Italian can go up in the ranking
It would be very useful to be able to download not only a .po containing “current” string, but also one containing “waiting” strings, at least the ones translated by yourself. It is very difficult to test the translation without being able to use it.

Sorry to sneak in, you can use the filters to display your translations only.

@Nabil: Yes, I know, but if I want to try my translation in a live environment I have to copy lines one by one in a new language file and upload it to my server.
It would be great to be able to download a .po file updated with newly translated strings, even if they are unconfirmed.
