Hi there, I want to ask something: please add context to label’ stringst! In WordPress, bbPressbbPress Free, open source software built on top of WordPress for easily creating forums on sites. https://bbpress.org., BuddyPress everything! We get upset when stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. doesn’t fit at same line, are meanless or just looks weird where they belong.

Hey, there’s something absolutely weird happening with GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org., a contributor reported that the latest translations are not pulled into the build. I double checked and it’s true.

I’m trying for 3rd time to build the 3.2 release, and no luck, the localizationLocalization Localization (sometimes shortened to "l10n") is the process of adapting a product or service to a particular language, culture, and desired local "look-and-feel." file content, is outdated. Look for ‘All Posts’:

Here’s the screen with the settings on rosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages.:

Please somebody have a look. Some guys are starting to blame us 🙁

Was anything done with improvements on how localizationLocalization Localization (sometimes shortened to "l10n") is the process of adapting a product or service to a particular language, culture, and desired local "look-and-feel." of plugins is handled, about what we talked around 3.0 release and what was later planned as 3.org project?

Guys, I like innovative ideas and I believe you’re gonna utilize this blog properly, but could we please agree on some kind of policy? It would be really nasty if one’d miss an important announcement because of not being subscribed to every mean of communication we currently make use of (which at the moment, I believe, are the mailing list, this blog, and the freenode IRC channel). Thanks! 🙂

Added a little info in the sidebarSidebar A sidebar in WordPress is referred to a widget-ready area used by WordPress themes to display information that is not a part of the main content. It is not always a vertical column on the side. It can be a horizontal rectangle below or above the content area, footer, header, or any where in the theme. – but maybe we should add a page with info on how this blog is supposed to be used? If so, what should be put in that page? Feel free to contribute 🙂

So, if I’m getting this right, we should start redirecting all requests on the list over to this P2p2 "p2" is the name of the theme that blogs at make.wordpress.org use (and o2 is the accompanying plugin). When asked to post something "on the p2" by a member of the Polyglots team, that usually means you're asked to post on the team blog https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/., yes?

Suggestions for posting policy

What to post – Status update, Blog Post, Quote or Link?

  • For short questions, updates and stuff – use “Status Update”
  • For instructions, informational posts (like this one), use “Blog Post”
  • “Quotes” are quotes. Haven’t found a use for this one yet…
  • “Links” are for really cool stuff on the web that can help our community

Remember to tag posts! If the update is about something specific to a localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/, tag it with that locale (ie “nb_NO”)
