Please add me, earmenians, as a validator for WordPress.com for Armenian. Thanks

I think you should ask for validator access for wp.org if you want to use in downloadable wp package.

Saying wp.org (which dosn’t exist), do you mean wordpress.org?
And, if yes, please help me in finding the exact page from where I can apply.
        Thanks.

    Hello everyone,
I’ve completed my WP Armenian translation. hy_AM.pot, hy_AM.po and hy_AM.mo are almost 100% translated. I’ve tested Armenian language on my blog at http://www.e-armenians.com. Everything looks OK. Please indicate my next steps to make my work available for internet community and post it at http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language. Thanks in advance.

Ze – here is an example – in the following link you can see the plural and singular string lets me translate in one box, I visited the Russian translation section and noticed that once you click on the string it opens two boxes one for singular and one for plural. In the Armenian translation it opens only one box. example – http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/3.1.x/hy/default?filtersstatus=either&filtersoriginal_id=17562&filterstranslation_id=926167

Hey, translating WordPress into Western and Eastern Armenian….So why would it be a problem to have two dialects coded for the same ISO?

    • 1:57 pm on May 10, 2011 Permalink | Reply

How are we to tell them apart? Everything in building the package to svn depends on the ISO code… and I’m not really convinced with the option of making one up. Suggestions?

following the ISO codes does make sense technically speaking, maybe we would have to find a way to just find a common ground. Either that or I find a way to propose a new language code to the ISO…

Dear Arthur – how about you start translating and we could actually see the real differences… I don’t think there are going to be many – but I would stick to one translation to keep it simple for all Armenian users. How about we have all Armenians use one type of Armenian – at least on the internet. The terminology used is going to be the same with a small difference such as – Օգտագործել and Գործածիլ and something like Կարող է and Կըրնայ… I think it’s not as complicated and Western Armenians can use the Modern Armenian version without any problems. But as suggested you may try to propose a new language and start translating in Western Armenian.

lol I was just being sarcastic. I’ve already begun entering my translations, and I’m hoping to gather more local people to help out. Can I have right to approve of translations?

Dear Arthur, if of coarse you don’t disagree, moving forward lets leave it to one person the right to accept translations. When we have a little more participants, we will request to combine that right for you. So that we don’t mix each other up lets leave it like this. Of coarse if you disagree then continue as you want! :)

Ashot, of coarse I would like to have the right to accept translations if only to hurry things along. However if I accept translations that are not to your liking we can always slow it down and discuss and vice versa.

              http://www.e-armenians.com/news/armenian-wordpress/

Մի խոսքով, խնդրում եմ՝ ուղղություն տվեք եւ ասեք՝ ինչից սկսել:

              Կանխավ շնորհակալ եմ:
