Hey Zé, could you please add the Finnish (fi) locale for bbpress and add me (Daniel Koskinen) as a validator. Thanks!

Hi, I’m one of the admins for the Finnish (‘fi’) translation. There’s been quite a lot of debate (again) on our own mailing list about whether we should switch to using a longer language code (‘fi_FI’) since some people consider it more ‘standard’ than the short version. Personally I don’t see much benefit and can imagine a lot of trouble for regular users in upgrading, plugin translations etc., if we were to make a switch. I could be wrong though… At the moment the only real problem is that some plugins such as WPML and Codestyling Localization assume the longer version.

Since the Codex seems to recommend using the long form (http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress#Repository_File_Structure), I’m wondering what others’ opinions are on this. Have other locales made such a transition successfully?

Hi, can I get access to SVN fi ( http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/fi/ )?
So I can translate rosetta.po complete and add new tags for releases. Please do it for me. I have read instructions and I know how to use it. I can´t publish new releases (like 3.0.1) if there is now tag for it. I promise I will talk with other community before I do anything permently. Thank you!

Hi, I have two usernames, this (esimerkki) and apuasi on WordPress.com. Can you integrate that useless username (esimerkki) with apuasi. Thanks!

Do you have access to the backend of http://fi.wordpress.org/ ? Then you don’t actually require a tag in the svn to build a 3.0.1 package just use these settings (in order of appearance):

      • “translate.wordpress.org”
      • “trunk”
      • “3.0 and 3.0.x”
      • HEAD
      • “3.0.1″

But then it take dist files from 3.1 alpha version?

well, yes, but the dist files are (as far as I know) not changed (at least wp-config-sample.php and setup-config.php)
