RTL locales: In 3.4, you will no longer need to specify $text_direction = 'rtl'; in your $locale.php file. Please remove it from $locale.php, and if this makes your $locale.php empty, then remove the file. (Please branch /trunk/ off into /3.3/ first, in case there is a 3.3.2.)

The following locales have been included: ar, ckb, fa_IR, he_IL, ug_CN, dv, fa_AF, ha, ps, uz_UZ, yi. If you are missing (or are incorrectly included), let me know.

No. it is the same as if we had French Canadian or French France or British English and American English.
        so it is Afghanistan Persian.

it visited the page and there is no repository for fa_AF
We need an admin who can create that repository so I start working on it.
        Thank you

I did not get it, how can I start? Those pages are so confusing. In one of those pages it say that I

1-should come this page (which I did)
        2-Open account (which I did)
3-contact admin to add the repository or language such as fa_AF

I don’t know who is doing the step 3?
        thank you

      Hi
I’m the translator of Persian WordPress. There are a lot Afghan WordPress users who use our translation and are happy with it. I’d like to know which parts of our translation are going to be changed in your version (Afghanistan Persian) and why do you think there’s a need for such translation?

      • Jamshid 11:22 am on December 15, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Hi – I am also using Persian WordPress, I think there is a need for Afghan version of WordPress as some of the phrases that you use are pure Iranian local accent which a lot of Afghans dont understand.

The same way we have American English, British English, Indian English; we have Iran Persian, Afghanistan Persian.

Got it. Just a question, “Persian” is called فارسی in Persian, what is the name for “Persian (Afghanistan)” in this case?

        Hi,
when translating to Persian, the text field suppose to have RTL (right to left) but it doesn’t. This causes a lot of problem when some HTML tags such as links and and other tags are in inserted. They appear reverse. Please someone let me know how can I enable the make the text filed in translation page here: http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/3.4.x/fa-af/default.
        thank you
