Added a little info in the sidebarSidebar A sidebar in WordPress is referred to a widget-ready area used by WordPress themes to display information that is not a part of the main content. It is not always a vertical column on the side. It can be a horizontal rectangle below or above the content area, footer, header, or any where in the theme. – but maybe we should add a page with info on how this blog is supposed to be used? If so, what should be put in that page? Feel free to contribute 🙂

Suggestions for posting policy

What to post – Status update, Blog Post, Quote or Link?

  • For short questions, updates and stuff – use “Status Update”
  • For instructions, informational posts (like this one), use “Blog Post”
  • “Quotes” are quotes. Haven’t found a use for this one yet…
  • “Links” are for really cool stuff on the web that can help our community

Remember to tag posts! If the update is about something specific to a localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/, tag it with that locale (ie “nb_NO”)

Hello world!

Welcome to WP Polyglots. I took the liberty to create this blog – since I think it could be a better place for discussion than an old-school mailing list. Please feel free to express your opinion on this!
