Now downloading language file is available at the Glotpress page, but the translation is not working properly. Strings related to post format work well, but those with menu page don’t. I think something wrong with nav-menus.php.

Hi, I’ve finished the translation recently added. When I click the Export link of po or mo file, the content shows up on the browser rather than downloading them. Any changes recently? or something wrong? All the browsers show same result.

Sorry about that. My mistake and fixed it in GlotPress (the tool behind it). Normally I commit stuff after the automatic deployment but I got messed up with timezone difference.
It will be automatically deployed on the site in 13 hours and it should be fixed then.

I found a misspelled string while updating WordPress for IOS, it is “Unitled Post”. It must be “Untitled Post”.

Hi Ze.
There isn’t any strings in bbPress 2.2.x at GlotPress. I translated the development version and inserted it into current version but many strings still in English.-

It seems a word “or” is omitted between “Drop files anywhere to upload” and “Select Files” button in the insert media pop-up window, while it exist in the media upload page under media.
There isn’t also in the line 1554 in wp-includes/media.php. Is it intended?-

Problem is this: on adding a new media item to the media library, the text is:
Drop files here
or
Select Files
While on adding a new media item to a post or page, the text is:
Drop files anywhere to upload
Select Files
No “or” and the text is different. It seems to me that both should read
Drop files anywhere to upload
or
Select Files
@nacin, can you confirm that this is a bug before I open a ticket? I understand that there is very little chance of it making it to 3.5

Without the “or” between “Drop files anywhere to upload” and “Select Files” button, it looks awkward. I don’t think it is a bug. In the current WP version there is “or”.

If it’s a bug, it’s on 3.5, not the current version as there is no “new” media manager there.

The three strings, “Drop files here or Select Files” are from \wp-admin\includes\media.php(line 1542~1544) and the two strings, “Drop files anywhere to upload Select Files” are from \wp-includes\media.php(line 1544, 1555).
So the strings are very different. As you see, there are only two strings in the latter media.php. It means “or” is omitted.-

Omitting the “or” isn’t a bug. We just didn’t think it was necessary UI. Drop files anywhere. Select files. Simple, easy.

In which case it should be omitted on the first instance, too. By the way, and for us unqualified pt_PT minions to avoid a Trac UI war, we’ve simply translated “Drop files anywhere to upload” with the equivalent “Drop files anywhere to upload, or“, in both instances. Not because of our (non-existant) degree in UI, but simply because it makes more sense.

about WP 3.5 translate, a string must be changed In the dashboard.php file or in po file.
line number 1271 in dashboard.php(wp-admin\includes) says two “%s” in href, but po file is written in %1$s and %2$s, so the string is not translated properly.-

about WP 3.5 translate, I think there are two strings missing for now.
they exist in the edit-form-advanced.php file but not in admin po file, which are..
line no. 234 and 235 in edit-form-advanced.php.
Add Media – You can upload…and Embed Media – With oEmbed…

I wonder if there is any role or ability to reply to somebody’s request. My reply was shown right after I wrote before. But now my reply is waiting for moderation and I can’t see it right away. I think my activity is limited recently.
This page is under the “Get involved”. On weekends the requests or questions are not answered by someone right away. So I wanted to get involved as much as I know. -

in bbPress plugin, the following string must be changed. there’s no such string in bbp-forums.php, so that shows only English.

Hi, I’m translating the bbPress plugin. I think there are no following entries in English. So I can’t translate them and see only English on help tab.
On replies menu there are similar entries such as “This screen provides access to all of your replies. You can customize the display of this screen to suit your workflow.”I searched other languages but the same result.

the Korean translation files are not converted completely into the .mo files. because some menus still shown in English. When I convert the traslation .po files in the original languages folder into .mo files, I can see all Korean menus. So, Please add the language files after converting again. Thanks in advance.

An image was included in the email for easy understanding. Anyway I will explain. Some areas such as “about WordPress”, submenu on Posts, Pages are in English. when I open the ko_KR.po file and just save, a new mo file is produced. After that all the English turn to Korean. So opening the file and saving will fix it. And include the mo file in the Korean WordPress zip file.

I meant the translation of Twenty Eleven on the GlotPress. In most cases Korean language don’t care about singular or plural. recently when I translate at the Glotpress most plural fields are not shown. only singlar field. the English has two field, singular and plural. but only one field in Korean.
So if the “Plural: %1$s thoughts on “%2$s”” is only singular, the presentation is one thought on something even if there are more than one comment. It’s ridiculous. only one thought(comment)! when I remove the korean language file it says 6 thoughts on something in English. So it needs plural translation.thanks.

I translated one string like following:
Singular: One thought on “%2$s”
Plural: %1$s thoughts on “%2$s”
–>“%2$s”에 대한 %1$s개의 생각
and it works.
