Hi! I’m a Barcelona based translator and I’m totally new here.
Recently I’ve started a WP.com blog for my son’s school and have soon realized that although the essentials of the chosen theme (Coraline) have been translated into Catalan, there are still many things that have not. Since the parents whom this blog targets speak mostly Catalan or Spanish, I was wondering if I could contribute to the full translation of the theme and its widgets.
I’m a professional translator into Russian (my mother tongue) proficient in Catalan so I feel I could do the job. Also one of our school blog contributors is a native Catalan corrector, so she could oversee the project linguistically.
What I need now is to understand a few tech things. How do I actually translate a theme or a widget? Where should I start? Is it at all possible???
Thanks all of you for help.
Warm regards from nearby Barcelona,
Anastasia

I may be in the wrong place to ask this kind of question… Where should I turn to though?
Thanks.

It depends on the widget and the theme.
