Hi! Please add team “WordPress Vietnamese Translators” to WordPress Project on Launchpad. I would like to retranslate since the current translation is old and there’re many things need to fix.

I think vi.wordpress.org would probably take translation from WordPress.org GlotPress:
http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/vi/default
You may want to contact the current maintainer of vi concerning your permission, since validators is now managed at vi.wordpress.org. If you do not receive a timely response, ask here again. Contact vi maintainers by filling out the form here:

I’m the current vi validator. I reached out to the maintainers of http://vi.wordpress.org/ several months ago but did not hear anything, so I’m not sure how maintains or handles the .org site.
I suggest opening a forum topic on the WordPress.com forums (http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/translations) and requesting to be added as a validator for vi (example: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/vietnamese-vi-ti%E1%BA%BFng-vi%E1%BB%87t-validator?replies=5).
InvinciP, I’d be more than happy to work with you on validating/translating.

@toango: I’d also be happy to work with you on this. Do you happen to live in Hanoi? Maybe we can figure something out for a good workflow? It’s been a (long) time since I even touched the Vietnamese translations and would really love some help.

@philip no i dont live in hanoi but i am vietnamese and live in orange county, ca – home of little saigon. let me know what needs to be done specifically and i’ll try to tackle them

So I didn’t realize your answer on August 9 last year, otherwise I would have contacted you. I’ve translated the vi.po file for version 3.x almost completely for my website and now I want to give it back to the community.
