Hi
Galician translation is not abandoned, all the people that send me a translation was uploaded to the SVN.
Last translated version is 2.9.2 at http://wptranslations.com/?p=7 but original translator didn’t send .po files for uploading to SVN.
Anyway it would be great a gl.wordpress.org so i can upload any galician translation to the official SVN. Please be in touch with me for any questions.
Zé could you tell me the steps for setup gl.wordpress.org ?
Regards!

Please, we must no confuse GlotPress for translating WordPress.com and SVN at codex for translating WordPress.org

I’ll setup gl.wordpress.org, but keep in mind that GlotPress is *also* used to translate WordPress.org, i.e. http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/gl/default . Don’t forget to upload your .po files there, too.

And http://gl.wordpress.org is up. Please make sure to read
http://codex.wordpress.org/International_WordPress_Sites for instructions on how to translate the site itself.

Well, congratulations for the creation of the Galician domain, at last!
That’s what I wanted to help with, the validations of the strings via GlotPress (are you the validator dorfun?).
However, I don’t understand clearly how it works. When the .po files are uploaded to the svn, are the strings of GlotPress updated?
Thanks, for the help Zé and the quick response and work dorfun.

SVN and GP are separate entities, as far as .po/.mo files are concerned. Whatever you commit yo SVN, you should upload to the proper GP project, too.
