This team is responsible for coordinating all documentation initiatives around WordPress, including the handbooks and other general wordsmithing across the WordPress project.

Weekly meetings

The documentation team holds weekly office hours and monthly Contributor Days on each Tuesday of the month in the #docs SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. channel. It’s also where you can contact the team at any time outside meetings.

“Weekly” Chats – Should we alternate docs chat with office hours every other week? Right now we’re seemingly only meeting once every two weeks.
Open Floor – Are there any outstanding docs projects we should be tracking? Any areas where we should be looking to focus energy? Bring them up and let’s talk about them.

I won’t be able to make the meeting today, but my HelpHub update is that things are off to a smooth start. The recap from this week’s meeting is here: https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2015/09/30/helphub-meeting-recap-sept-29/ – we’ve decided on the tools we’ll be using to work on things and volunteers have stepped up for the tasks required.

I’ve added a page to the Docs Handbook about HelpHub and giving info about what’s going on and how people can get involved: https://make.wordpress.org/docs/handbook/about-the-docs-team/current-docs-projects/helphub/ – that page will evolve as the project evolves, so I will keep it up to date as we go along.
