Weekly meetings

The documentation team holds weekly office hours and monthly Contributor Days on each Tuesday of the month in the #docs SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. channel. It’s also where you can contact the team at any time outside meetings.

I fear that our meeting time was too early for people on the west cost of the US 🙁 How about we aim for Monday 16:30 UTC. If that suits a lot of people it can become our regular time.

I’ve got in touch with Automattic to find out the usage stats for the Help Tabs on WordPress.comWordPress.com An online implementation of WordPress code that lets you immediately access a new WordPress environment to publish your content. WordPress.com is a private company owned by Automattic that hosts the largest multisite in the world. This is arguably the best place to start blogging if you have never touched WordPress before. https://wordpress.com/.

Next Steps:

@hanni & @jazzs3quence – can you look through the Help plugins and report back at the chat on what you think is particularly good.
@trishasalas – we ought to get started with the user testing so we can start to come up with a more concrete plan. What do we need to get moving?

Siobhan, I’ll rewrite the questions to include your suggestions and have those ready by the meeting Monday. After that it’s just setting up the user testing.com account. I’d like to do a few then modify as needed based on the results.
