Post Meta Team Nov 26 Meeting Recap

There’s been an overwhelming amount of interest in the Post MetaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. effort. Rad. This evening, we met to plan the future of this project.

I’ll be leading the group, with Scott Kingsley Clark as backup lead. We have a large group of interested contributors who joined us today, and are of course open to anyone else who is interested.

We started a collaborative document during the meeting, in which we’re gathering a list of existing post meta libraries/plugins/frameworks, and desired features for the new pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. Feel free to comment/add your own two cents.

At our next meeting on  Tuesday, December 3, 2013, 19:00 UTC **MEETING TIME CHANGED**, we’re going to host developers of existing libraries to present suggestions, features, design patterns, or anything else particular to their library. This will provide a good basis for discussions on technical implementation. We’ve reached out to these developers, and already have a few RSVPs.

See you then!
