Over the next few days I have to migrate all of the WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ infrastructure to a new location in our Dallas datacenter. We ran out of space in the old location and the datacenter is doing some consolidation that necessitates this move. The footprint is getting pretty big (WordPress.org and associated .org stuff now runs on almost 30 servers!). There will be some downtime for various services (mailing lists, svn/tracTrac An open source project by Edgewall Software that serves as a bug tracker and project management tool for WordPress., pingomatic) as individual servers move, but I will try to keep it to a minimum. Downtime should not exceed 15 minutes for any single service, and website downtime should be much shorter than that. The migrationMigration Moving the code, database and media files for a website site from one server to another. Most typically done when changing hosting companies. has started now (lists.automattic.com is down) I will post back here once they are complete (I suspect it will be a few days before everything is moved.
