  @Peter, @Jane, is 3.0 a good opportunity to

  • reopen ticket #9579 (http://core.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/9579/profile.jpg) allowing plugins to create user taxonomies, user custom fields etc ….
  • re-design wordpress settings pages (http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4062/4530173762_904410d446_o.jpg) something similar to plugin mailpress settings page.

    It is too late to change this in 3.0 we are deep into feature freeze.

    If you would like to get involved with redesigning the WordPress admin pages then the best place to start would be to get involved with the UI group – http://make.wordpress.org/ui/

  Menu system, wrapper could use a static name to use with generic CSS for all.
