Found a bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority.? Create a ticket in the bug tracker.
Want to contribute? Get started quickly with tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub. There’s more on the reports page, like patches needing testing, and on feature projects page.

  The conversation on menu management has been split between a number of places (here, tracTrac An open source project by Edgewall Software that serves as a bug tracker and project management tool for WordPress., IRCIRC Internet Relay Chat, a network where users can have conversations online. IRC channels are used widely by open source projects, and by WordPress. The primary WordPress channels are #wordpress and #wordpress-dev, on irc.freenode.net., UIUI User interface blogblog (versus network, site), etc.) but in most places we seem to be thinking we’ll wind up with something similar to the WooThemes Custom Nav, since it has all the features we’ve previously identified in our list of things to include. Rather than reinventing the wheel, I asked Woo if they’d be interested in contributing the custom nav code to coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.. They’re going to take a stab at turning it into a patchpatch A special text file that describes changes to code, by identifying the files and lines which are added, removed, and altered. It may also be referred to as a diff. A patch can be applied to a codebase for testing., which could save us a lot of time. I’m hopeful that this could work out very well, and am looking forward to seeing how people respond to their initial patch later this week (they’re aware of the freeze date), so no wireframes for now. Spurred on from this (http://www.chipbennett.net/wordpress/2010/02/auditing-wordpress-plugins-for-license-information/) I think we should discuss the best approach for plugins to be explicit – so we can make a recommendation of best practise.
