Report and update for those who have assigned areas, but we should also try and get the unassigned areas covered, if we can.

I’ll be late tomorrow, (I have a conflicting meeting 1900 UTC to 2030 UTC, and the meeting may very well run late) .
If there is something an inexperienced newcomer such as myself can do to help, feel free to offer me an “assignment” to cover one of the “unassigned” areas. I’ll check in to the IRC log when I get back, and coordinate from there.

That is a big ask, and I feel that developers have to be willing to meet us more half way on this. Perhaps we should specify an absolute minimum set of guide points/questions that devs need to think about when they’re designing and building solutions. Example…
- Can this functionality be totally driven purely with the use of a keyboard.
- Does the tab order make sense
- Do all the input fields have labels
Etc…

If everyone though about the simple stuff it might solve most of the accessibility problems that we find.

I need to develop usability tests to do at CSUN. If there is anything you want to see tested, tomorrow is the time to tell me. Tests need to be short and specific.

  My initial list would be:
  - Logon and interpret dashboard and toolbar
  - Publish new post including use of headings, bold etc. Add categories and tags.
  - Edit post to add media (image or pdf) with caption, alt text etc.
  - Update user options including setting new password
  - Use Theme CustomizerCustomizer Tool built into WordPress core that hooks into most modern themes. You can use it to preview and modify many of your site’s appearance settings. to change Site Title and background colours etc.

  I know we’ve added creating menus to this now, but perhaps adding Logging Out would be sensible after the IRC chat yesterday.
