This site will be the home of a new working group dedicated to improving accessibility in core WordPress and related projects (plugins/themes/etc). I’m the UX lead for WP core, and have talked to several people active in accessibility who are interested in contributing to WordPress by focusing on this area. This is where they’ll combine their efforts.

Hi, Jane
I’d love to be involved with making WordPress more accessible. I’m an accessibility advocate, I’m a W3C Invited Expert (for the Web Accessibility Initiative – Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG), I help run accessibilty unconferences (in the Boston area), and I speak on accessibility at various tech comm conferences.
